Forze is a Dutch company founded by students from the Delft University of Technology who aim to create a sustainable future within the mobility industry. The Forze VIII was the eighth car by the company, initially a rebuild of their Forze VII vehicle with the same LMP3 monocoque implementing newer and better components.

On August 18th, 2018 the Forze VIII was the first hydrogen race car to ever compete in a Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) certified race. While competing against petrol-powered vehicles in the sport division of the Supercar Challenge, the Forze VIII finished sixth place out of seven competitors. The race was 60 minutes plus an additional two laps.

August 28th, the vehicle was poised to race again. Unfortunately, during race pre-checks, the team found a break in an insert in the monocoque holding the rocker. As a result, the decision was made to not race that day as the break would have impaired ensuring proper function of the front left suspension.

Despite the unfortunate circumstances, the weekend was a huge success for both Forze and the hydrogen development.
