Introducing the CERA~DUR 3 Series

Since launching our ceramic hollow-fiber technology, our CERA~DUR 1 Series and CERA~DUR 6 Series have been extremely well-received. However, as a customer-obsessed company your feedback matters to us, and we’ve heard you loud and clear.  

The CERA~DUR 1 Series is a very low-cost and easily-adaptable module for water quality testing, as well as a very cost-effective opportunity to gain experience with our Ceramic Hollow Fiber technology. However, at only 0.17 meters² of filtration area, this module did not provide the optimal filtration area for larger projects.  

In contrast, our CERA~DUR 6 Series, provides the ability to filter large volumes of wastewater in a very compact design. However, the overall product design, especially the custom stainless housing, made it challenging to be a cost-effective solution for many Industrial Wastewater applications, such as Industrial Laundry or Car Wash applications.  

After taking this feedback into account and along with extensive internal testing, we developed a better alternative. 

We are excited to officially introduce the CERA~DUR 3 Series.

The cost-effective CERA~DUR 3 Series modules contain over 300 individual ceramic hollow fibers and a total filtration area of 1.1 m². The simple, compact design allows for several modules to be designed in series, thus reducing the overall system costs, footprint, and power consumption. 

The CERA~DUR 3 Series is the perfect option for many industrial wastewater applications. In fact, for applications that don’t require process wastewater between 10° and 50° C or a pH range outside of 2-10, the CERA~DUR 3 Series is a perfect fit.  

It’s the most cost-effective ceramic hollow fiber solution on the market today.

From Nanofiltration to Microfiltration

Our ceramic hollow fiber membrane portfolio covers nanofiltration, ultrafiltration and microfiltration. In addition to our standard 30 nm pore size, we now offer 3 nm, 10 nm, 80 nm, 100 nm, 130 nm and 700 nm pore sizes.

Our clean water permeability ranges from 60 to 14,000 LMH at 1 bar depending on the pore size.

Crossflow in-out filtration

Our crossflow in-out filtration offers long operating cycles by increasing the shear force to remove fouling layers and high recovery of membrane performance with less cleaning cycles and chemicals.

Removal of fouling layers is imperative for the function of any membrane system, as any buildup of materials has the potential to degrade the membrane resulting in a decrease of both the flux and the quality of the end product.

Our ceramic hollow fiber membranes typically require a quick, periodic backwash. The backwash removes the fouling layers, thus improving performance and extending the operating lifetime of our membranes. However if needed the CERA~DUR membranes can easily tolerate a variety of CIP protocols.
